XprssnMagic support for DAZ Studio ================================== This script is meant to help you apply the facialy expressions generated by XprssnMagic to the apropriate figures in DAZ Studio. XprssnMagic itself is not my program, it was created by Gryffnn and is available from the DAZ store. The usage of the script actually is easy, and only needs two more steps than applying the same expression to Poser. Just select and combine the expression in XprssnMagic, hit "Copy to clipboard" as usual, then switch to D|S, select the proper figure to apply to (unlike Poser, just selecting the figure or ANY bodypart of it is enough - no need to select the head), start this script, paste the content of your clipboard into the text area and hit apply. A caveat though: Due to a shortcoming of the D|S Text area (or, more likely, the QT class used for it) there might be no linefeeds in your pasted text, just a strange long string wrapped at whatever word happens to be at the right place, while you get a nice table when pasting into a true editor (Windows Notepad is NOT one of those). This does (of course) not matter for this script - both the 'properly formatted' list and the linefeed-lacking text are (or should be) accepted. Running the script this way gives you Poser compatibility: Morphs requested that do not exist are silently ignored. If you want to know whether all requested morphs are applied, you need to press 'Ctrl' while doubleclicking the script - if there are morphs not applyable, the script will now tell you in a messagebox at the end of its run. Many thanks go to DavidGB who had the idea, did beta-testing and supplied icon I finally used. This script is offered free of charge, and without warranty. I will not be held responsible if the script deletes your scene, formats your harddrive or drives you mad. The only thing I can honestly say is that it works properly and as described above on my own system. Installation is actually very easy - just drop the script (and the icon coming with it) in any subdirectory within a DAZ Studio - content-folder (NOT a Poser-content-folder mapped within D|S, but a Studio-folder). No additional steps need to be taken. XprssnMagic Importer script is (c) Guandalug la'Fay 2007 History: -------- 1.0: Released 2007-01-07
